DR. ROB PRIVRATSKYEducation and Background

Hi, I’m Dr. Rob Privratsky. I earned my BA in Biology from San Francisco State University and graduated, Summa Cum Laude, from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA and was the valedictorian of my class. While at Life West, I was the President of the Clinical Biomechanics of Posture (CBP®) Student Club and gave biweekly lectures on topics ranging from spinal biomechanics to neurology. I also received the Clinical Excellence Citation, which is an award recognizing one clinician from each class for their excellence in patient care, and also received an Outstanding Achievement Award from Clinical Biomechanics of Posture Non-Profit for my contribution to the science of chiropractic. I am a Distinguished Fellow of the Clinical Biomechanics of Posture technique and is one of only two offices in San Francisco specifically trained in this chiropractic approach.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Read Zaid T.‘s review of Brannan St Chiropractic on Yelp[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Bio

I was introduced to chiropractic at a very young age when my mother had a local chiropractor evaluate my spine. After the initial evaluation, I rarely went to the chiropractor until I injured my low back while playing football in high school. The injury left me bedridden over the weekend and I had never experienced such intense pain before, which was a frightening experience. First thing Monday morning I went to the chiropractor and felt an immediate reduction in pain after the first adjustment. With only 3 adjustments, I was back on the field playing in the next week’s game. Throughout my remaining years in high school I periodically visited the chiropractor for injuries ranging from ankle sprains to neck “stingers” and as a result, I never missed a game. After high school I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and while attending the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis I began to experience right knee pain. I scheduled an appointment at the student medical clinic and was diagnosed with a benign bone tumor and they recommended surgery to remove it. I really didn’t want to deal with using crutches during an icy winter in Minneapolis, so I went to a chiropractor to manage the pain until the spring. In only three weeks, my knee pain was gone and has not returned for over 10 years now. My experience as a chiropractic patient has always been positive and because of this, I decided that I wanted to devote my life to helping people manage pain without the need for drugs or surgery.

I am originally from North Dakota and after graduating from high school, I moved to Minneapolis, MN where I attended the University of Minnesota. After a short vacation in San Francisco, I decided that I had to live here, so I transferred from the University of Minnesota to San Francisco State University to complete my undergraduate degree. In an effort to try new things, I moved to the East Coast after earning my Chiropractic Degree and opened my first chiropractic office in Providence, RI. My experience traveling up and down the East Coast helped me realize that there is no place like San Francisco and I decided to move back to the Bay Area with my girlfriend Colleen and my dog, Scout.

I work hard to ensure that my patients receive the highest quality of care so that they can live a long, active, pain free life. I look forward to and excel at challenging cases where other interventions have failed and it appears as though surgery is the last option. I believe that healthcare requires active participation from both the patient and the doctor, so that we, as a team, can make the changes necessary to regain and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. I tailor my treatment specifically to each individual based on their symptoms, diagnosis, and their goals. I offer all my patients choices so that they can make informed decisions based on their needs and circumstances.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Feel free to contact me at [eeb_content](415) 525-4865[/eeb_content] or [email protected].[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
